Only in Singapore will you see signs using language so mangled you are literally at a loss for words.
I thought I was fond of honking, but the drivers in Shanghai put me to shame.



Shortly after we finished the, um, cupcakes, I was inspired to bake again, this time, a lemon cake whose recipe was published in Sunday's LifeStyle. The cake tasted pretty decent, but the lemon glazing made the cake so sour, even my gums puckered up. I ate it anyway.


Bak kut chilli mee from the Beach Road Hawker Centre. I like my noodles with plenty of chilli, even if it sets my mouth on fire and makes my eyes water and my nose run. Just call me a masochist.






When the salesman introduced me this ipod docking station, I was suspicious of it because the brand name Sansui sounded like it was some China product. But it turned out to be from Japan, gives very good sound quality, and is cheap to boot. Happy buy.
